After a long, creatively productive summer off, we’re kicking off the new season of events with a print exchange and party. Kind of like a cake walk, but without as much walking. This is a great way to share your work with other pros in the community and see what other photographers have been working on. Plus it will be at Elsie’s, with plenty of snacks and a cash bar.

Here’s how it works:

Choose one of your photos you’d like to share.  Make an 8.5×11” print* (remember how to print?), Then bring it to the party at Elsie’s on September 26, 6pm. You’ll be given a number upon arrival. Hang your print on the wall for all to see. At the end of the evening, numbers will be shuffled and everyone who brought a print will draw a number and get someone else’s print to go home with. Make sense?

*Can’t make a print yourself you say?  We at ASMP-MSP have your back. Email us a file and we’ll print it for you – no charge. How’s that?

Send your file to:  minnstpaul@asmp.org — Make sure it’s a 300ppi RGB file, properly formatted to fit on 8.5×11 paper. Also name the file thusly: “FirstName_LastName.extenion” — We will use our judgement to crop if it isn’t obvious. Please send a JPG file for print no later than Sunday, September 23!

All are welcome – even if you can’t bring a print. (Those of us who did will need someone to poke fun at…)
