Atlanta: APA Presents Art Streiber, The Big Picture - Masterclass

  • Atlanta Daylight Studio 500 Bishop Street Northwest Building B, Suite 1 Atlanta, GA 30318 USA (map)

Want to learn from one of the best? On Saturday, April 27, Art Streiber, a Los Angeles-based freelance photographer/director specializing in portraiture, reportage, entertainment, and advertising photography, will be in Atlanta for "Career Management and Marketing" – a day-long masterclass for today's modern photographer.

Immediately following this three-part masterclass, all participants are invited to join in a cocktail hour from 4:30-5:30pm.

In this all-day course, Art will take you behind the scenes on his photography projects, outline how to manage your photography business and discuss today's most effective marketing techniques.

Part I: How it Happens

Streiber will pull back the curtain on his published images and discuss every facet of how they were conceived, executed and finalized. From pre-production research and logistical management, to on-set problem solving and the importance of post-production, all shoot related issues will be covered.

Part II: Managing Your Career

What are the four aspects of your photography business? How can you organize your workflow to maximize its effectiveness and be ready for the next big project? How do you get to the next level? These are just three of the dozens of questions that Streiber will pose and answer regarding the administration of your professional life.

Part III: Marketing for the Commercial & Editorial Photographer

Portfolios, promo pieces and in-person meetings. Websites, Instagram and Facebook. Whether it's a traditional or a modern form of self-promotion, sorting out and prioritizing your marketing moves is a full-time job. The power and potential of each platform will be reviewed and other marketing maneuvers will be explored.

This workshop is a co-production from Atlanta Celebrates Photography, APA AtlantaSpace for ArtsAtlanta Daylight Studio & The Spin Style.
