Stay Here: NYC - The Jane Hotel
/A photo essay on The Jane Hotel
Overlooking the Hudson, The Jane Hotel evokes a bygone era of cross-Atlantic ship travel. And indeed the majority of the rooms are no bigger than a ship cabin, but that hardly matters as the price is right and the hotel has plenty of other spaces to enjoy instead of staying in your room. Cafe Gitane, the NoLiTa cafe, has an outpost here on the ground floor of the hotel, which is even more spacious and perfectly art directed with a nostalgic French-North African flair. Enjoy cocktails on their rooftop with a view of the Hudson, or check out bicycles and cruise around the West Village.

If you’ve ever shot in Mallorca, you know, it’s not just a pretty place. It’s a production dream that somehow manages to feel effortless, no matter how complex the brief. Sunlight that wraps around your subject like silk, dramatic cliffs that double as natural sound stages, and a local crew who can pivot from fashion editorial to high-end commercial without missing a beat.
